Right turn at crossroads

    Another question please:

If you look at a typical crossroads here http://r-m-t.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2014/06/crossroads-nearside.jpg

Say I'm the yellow car indicating right, I see the red car is also indicating right so I start the turn as shown in the diagram.

I'm curious about if a car is behind the red car and undertakes it to go straight as I am making the turn. Is it permissible for a car to undertake a car turning right at a junction like that. If so, how best to deal with that situation for me in the yellow car? Should I just commit to the turn as soon as I can but wouldn't the undertaking car have right of way?

Both cars should actually pass each other before turning.. that is in theory. However in practice if you arrived at the junction first. Then the other driver would usually offer a little common courtesy and delay which would allow you to make your right turn in front of his car.. usually a hand signal or flash of lights from the other driver.. of course you need to take extreme care that he actually stops and allows you to manoeuvre. And also that nothing is passing on his left side. Especially cyclists.
    Hope this helps.

The image you link to is for traffic light controlled junctions

Unless you have a right turn green filter light, you must give way to any vehicle overtaking the other vehicle on the left. If the turning vehicle is a truck or bus, it may be more difficult to see if anything is coming up its inside. On a narrower road, it may not be possible for most vehicles to come up the inside but, as another poster has said, pay particular attention to cyclists who may be physically able to and will have right of way. (I'm a regular cyclist and often encounter situations where other vehicles cross my path when I have right of way.)

It is permissible to overtake on the left a car that is turning right.
