Draughts everywhere

    Hi

    We spend a fortune on heating - poor insulation but mostly we have serious draughts. Doors not sealing, double glazed windows but not closing fully, and probably awful attic insulation too. House is standard semi d built in the 60s.

    I'm not the best at DIY so maybe just need to get someone in to locate the draughts and realign doors and window hinges and hopefully not have to replace anything.

    Perhaps wrong forum but any ideas on where I could find such a person - not like it's elecs or plumbing or carpentry so not sure what to look up!

    are the doors and and windows wood, pvc, aluminium . a window maintenance guy will do most of it. they often build and supply windows and do the maintenance as well. some guys just maintain them

    what part of the country are you in.


    you could get a pressure test to help find the leaks.
