Amazon last order date Ireland

This year I notice no information on amazon's website regarding this. Would ordering today with free super saver shipping be likely to come before Christmas now?

Normally they have a page with international last order dates but I can find one this year.

    Thanks

Having ordered something 7 days ago from Amazon and just this minute getting the dispatched email, I would be wary. It took 3 time writing to Chat to get them to tell me 2 items were out of stock, but they have been sent with Express now at least.

I ordered something 2 nights ago, with a despatch time around 4am, just several hours later, I arrive home yesterday to find it delivered.

If it's in stock, I would go for it,

The problem with Amazon is placing the order only means they will deliver it within a timeframe not that they'll dispatch it quickly at all though. If they dispatch late they will use a courier to make up the time. Example: If you order a few things from different warehouses they can either choose to split you order OR wait until one item gets from Warehouse A to Warehouse B and then ship it, maybe by An Post Special Delivery or Special Courier or not at all.

The estimated delivery date when you ORDER is the key. If you don't like it, cancel your order and go elsewhere.

I don't think I'd be ordering anything later than Sunday myself.

I wouldn’t, I placed an order yesterday and when the confirmation email came through, the estimated delivery date was 22 - 28 December, so it wasn’t guaranteed. I got into them on chat and sorted it but you’d be taking a gamble today.

I noticed this too. There is a wide variety of dates now on their in stock items. I had 28th December for one thing and 20th for another so even though in stock and supplied and fulfilled by Amazon isn't guaranteeing Christmas delivery- even though it's 10 days !

I wonder why no last order date this year?

They had it every other year.

I ordered 2 items last week, they were despatched Last Friday with a delivery date of Wednesday 13th Dec. I received an email from Amazon on the Wednesday “You ordered the item below, but the package was returned to us by the carrier. We’ve issued your refund”. I was not too happy to say the least.

I chatted to their customer service, they apologised many times and offered to resend the order “free” of charge and priority delivery if I reordered. I explained several times that items were free delivery anyway. But the person seemed to brush that off. I reordered, he removed the €6.00 charge that was already discounted. He showed me the new invoice – the exact amount it was in the first place. I couldn’t argue anymore because I was at work so gave up hoping that the item would be delivered pronto. Two days later and still no despatch notice…

So in short, I wouldn’t rely on a pre-Christmas delivery myself from Amazon….

I ordered 6 items from Amazon. They were all despatched in the one package on 4th December. They still have not arrived even though they were meant to be delivered by 12th December.
