    Hi ,

We have an old house we had moved into earlier this year and plan changing doors in Jan .need to ask anyone who has changed doors recently if the casing /frame around the door can be replaced without hopefully too much mess around on the walls . I have attached some pics here of the frame around the doors and I was wondering if these can be changed along with the doors .

Also any recommendations of somewhere in Dublin for interior door suppliers who also do installation of the doors will be great !

We’ve had most of our doors changed (the rest will be done in jan!)- there was very little damage around them really- nothing a decent decorator couldn’t sort with a small bit of filler. The new architrave covered most of it! We didn’t have to change all the frames, some of them were fine to re-use, which saved a bit of time.

Your walls are block or timber studding so there would be no problem changing the frames, but if you want to keep the fanlight over the doors you will be limited to white deal frames as hardwood and the foil covered Mdf frames do not come in lengths above 2.1 m, alternatively you could get hardwood frames custom made
