Hi im new to FTA and Soarview and im looking for advice on what I need to get setup. During some recent work i was doing i ran 3 coaxial cables and a Cat 6 to where the main tv will be and to a space in the press upstairs where i can either connect them a switch or router if needed so no wires are visable as they are all behind walls and floors.
What id like is a decent box for the main TV downstairs a box that i can record and watch another channel at the same time and a good EPG? In the bedrooms a standard box would be ok.
    Any recommendations would be great.

The current favourite combo box is the Formuler F1 triple tuner. You will need a satellite dish with quad LNB and an aerial for saorview. In south Dublin you would probably get away with the aerial in the attic. For any box to record and watch different satellite channels at once they will need two satellite tuners and feeds from the dish. If you want this in more than 1 bedroom you might consider a multiswitch which can feed as many rooms as needed. It is also possible to 'piggyback' the saorview signal onto one of the satellite coaxs to save wiring. If recording is not required in the bedrooms a single dish feed would suffice. These boxes also allow streaming of live and recorded content around your home network which can be accessed by anything with a web browser.

Thank you for thst information. The Formuler box has 2 tuners looking at the link so that would be sufficient for what im looking for?
The boxes in the bedrooms would just be standard boxes for HD FTA.
Now the home network is something that I'd be very interested in.

The basic box linked above has 2 satellite tuners. You need the optional third terrestrial (DVB-T) tuner for Saorview Irish channels as these are not available for free on UK satellites.
EDIT: do a search on here for the formuler box as there are several threads discussing it's use.
