My plumber has just informed me that the 10 year old boiler in my apartment has been destroyed by limescale and needs replacement. The heating works at present but heat climbs quickly when turned on and bills high. Has anyone else had this problem? How much did you pay for boiler&installation? Did your plumber suggest any less extreme/costly solution?thanks!

Not sure how your plumber can see inside the heat exchanger. Chances are a powerflush will sort the problem. Nearly always does
