Three weeks off no pay Christmas

Just a quick question. Been working away since July and as planned the job will not be working for three weeks over the Christmas period for no pay. We'll all return to paid work again in January.

Can I make a claim for JB or should I apply for something else to tide me over for the three weeks?

Don't want to waste mine and their time applying for something I shouldn't get considering I'm back getting paid again after the three weeks off.

you could go to the swoto try get an exceptional needs payment, theres no social welfare payment youd be entitled to if you are employedbut jsut off for 3 weeks.

I dont know how sucessful you would be in getting anything from the swo tho as you have known since july this would be happening so should have made provisions for it (this is how they will see it)

Also with it being just over a week to xmas i dunno how muc the swo can do in one week.

You can apply for jobseekers for the 3 weeks
