Audi A4 B7 1.9tdi starting hesitation

Hi all, I have an Audi A4 1.9tdi B7 model 202km on it. Anyway I have a problem with it. It is hesitating to start in the mornings and evenings. I have changed heater plugs to no change. No engine codes or anything is being picked up by diagnostic and no oil in fuel filter. I was of the opinion that maybe the tandem pump is finished but I have been told it will either run or not. I don't think injectors because I have no problem with running, but I do think it feels like a delay of fuel. I'm assuming a fuel pump would either have a fault in engine management or would show symptom when running. Battery has been checked as has starter along with alternator. Has anyone any ideas? I also have done the funny light thing and it makes no difference. I am wondering may it be egr or sensor related? Has anyone any experience of something like this in this car or other with same engine?

If it was sensor related, you'd expect to get some type of code. Has the fuel filter been changed recently? That can give fuel pump type symptoms. Your next bet may be to get the fuel pressure checked.

It wasn't changed in last 12000 but was removed and checked with no issue. I would assume though if pressure was an issue car wouldn't be great on throttle? But it's the grandest that way

MHO fuel filter still valid offender along with air filter.
They would be cheaper to replace(air first), just to eliminate, than other components.
....was removed and checked with no issue....
What means of testing you had?

....When filters are beyond end of life, they don't stop filtering. What happens is they restrict flow. A filter doesn't suddenly let bad things through. E.g. with air filters in rallying or Paris-Dakar, they will quickly reach end of life, but they don't suddenly start letting sand into the engine, they block flow.......

Just a visual for oil or blockage of dirt that's all. Going to see if Portlaoise diesel is available to look at it, sick of dealing with the problem tbh.

So I got the car back after injector seals being done and injectors checked. It's still the bloody same. Has anyone any other ideas ? I'm slightly at wits end and very unhappy about this, to the point that the car is almost going to be gone.

Does your fuel filter have a white plastic valve on Top? If it has try changing it. I'd change the fuel filter too.

Audi 1.9tdi B7 is going to be a different type of fuel system to that. It's more than likely to be PD.

The PD system can give trouble with the wiring loom going to the injectors, injector seals and injectors themselves.

Cheers for the help folks, since been resolved, injector seals fixed it, however. Different problem now caused by replacement of something else but thanks guys
