16" natural gas fire suitable for an older person

    Hi All,

    Would anyone know of a model of natural gas fire which would be suitable for an older person?

    Many of them are quite difficult to light and require you to get down on your hands and knees to start them. Ideally something with an electrical ignition which could be wired to a switch on the wall.

    You can get a remote control hand set for most gas fires these days!. if their very old they can get confused with the sequence of pushing the buttons on the hand set. Look up a brand call nu flame, they have a wall switch option that would suit.
