Kid Safe Laptop Software

    Hi All,

    Just got a laptop for my 10 year old son and wonder is there a preferred (or available) software to kid protect the device?

    Any advise would be much appreciated!

    Its a windows 10 HP

    What/Who you trying to protect?
    Once you got him laptop @10.... is to late for for both of you.:D
    In any way, set yourself with admin account and child with ordinary user - that way he wont be able to install(even inadvertently) any crap without your consent.
    Consider to have good antivirus/internet security with parent control

    just use opendns family shield, its free and works very well.

    So no need to pay & install for some bloated antivirus product

    Thanks. I've already an antivirus installed on the laptop. Would this software cause a conflict?

    its not software, it just changes your DNS settings which blocks domains from a precompiled list from Cisco / OpenDNS

    make sure you also enable safesearch on Google / Youtube

    No conflict from openDNS and any antivirus. Haven't looked but would presume it's just a website filter to keep him away from dodgy stuff
