Buying a car with one key

We are in the process of buying a car (yeah!!) its a 14 cmax and the guy selling only has one key. It was an ex company car, so would have thought it was standard to include the second one.

Would anyone have a problem with that, and paying in CASH. I'm buying in the north and paying in euros he has knocked a good bit off the sticker price for the cash sale.

I would have thought a draft would have been OK but he said he only has a sterling bank account.
