lost a xiaomi mi5 , help with replacement ideas

So I lost my MI5, was a great phone but the build quality was rubbish and so hard to get a proper rom on it because not sold in Europe ive decided not to replace like for like.

The max I was to spend is around €300, I have no desire for a large phone, 5.2 max screen size.

I see I can get a new unlocked HTC 10 (not 10 evo) from the UK which has basically identical specs as the MI5 did but has 1gb more ram and a better screen. Reviewers at the time discounted it completely against the competition because of the massive price but obviously this is a good deal so that doesnt count.

Any other phones I should be looking at before I buy the HTC 10?

I'm inclined to agree on the build quality of the Mi5 and I'm not inclined to buy another Xiaomi phone at all. Also on the lookout.

Honor 8 or 9 if you can get the 9 at a decent price.

8 is getting on a bit but still fast, on nougat, and takes great still photos.

5.2 inch, 4gb ram for the 8.

glass back so a bit slippy on a very smooth surface but I've had one for 9 months and no issues. very attractive phone.

battery life 1 day heavy use.
