Don't all laugh at once.... I found this old roll of some family event or other and would like to get it developed without spending a fortune for what is probably poor quality if indeed anything!

Is there anywhere that still does this type of thing? Limerick based. Thanks.

What kind of film is it ? 35mm ? APS ? 110 ? is it colour ? Black and white ? Slide or negative ?

Take a picture of the canister. Chances are it's 35mm c-41 in which case your local pharmacy can probably still develop it. Otherwise getting it developed might be a little more ... troublesome.

Anyone who develops C41 can do this for you, there is a person on Adverts who's based in Limerick, any decent camera shop should also be able to do it for you. You can get develop only quite cheaply, less than €4 per roll or develop and print, average prices I see is around €10.

Now regarding what results you may get, that all depends on the age of the film, when it was shot, how it was stored. You will get some colour shift, maybe a little too much magenta for example. If you do get some results then a lot of the colour shift can be corrected, to a degree, by having the negatives scanned and put through software like Photoshop, then reprinted.

That's great info thanks. I thought it would be much harder to find someone still doing this!
