unlocking iphone 6

    Hi All,

    I upgraded my iphone 6 to iphone 8, am a bill-pay customer with 3.

    I wish to give the old handset to a friend, and it needs to be unlocked.

    How does one go about this, hopefully it is possible?

    Hi fritzelly,

    Thanks a mill, but I have given the phone already.
    If I request my IMEI code, would that not be applicable for the new phone, which I have up and running?
    Apparently the code in the old phone can only be unlocked with a 3 sim card in it, which there isn't, as it is now in my new phone. I guess I'd better call into a 3 shop

    IMEI code is for the phone not the SIM card - *#06# on the phone to get it
