Taxis that take dogs

Does anyone know if any particular taxi firms allow pets on board? I’ve heard mixed things whether a taxi will take a pet. In my circumstance it’s a small/med size 10kg dog that would sit in my knee. I’m in Tallaght. Thanks in advance.

I used to take one of my dogs in a taxi semi-regularly, he is also a 10kg small/medium fella. As far as I know, there is often no problem as long as you inform the taxi company in advance when ordering a cab, it's often at their discretion. I also always ask the driver would he prefer I sit in the front or back with him, as well.

We put or little 6.5kg into his soft carrier as we use the my taxi app & can’t ask before hand. Never had a refusal with him in his carrier.
