Can you advise on whether to buy a refurbished laptop or a new one in the same model please? It's still a lot of money so would you trust a refurb? The seller is on amazon with good feedback, saving of 200 euro, Thanks

It depends. I would consider Dell outlet refurbs to be good. But an unknown seller who claims to have refurbed can be a mixed bag. Do you have a link?

It also depends on the spec/price too. Some refurb laptops for sale on amazon are ancient and not worth it.

The seller seems reasonable from those reviews. Spec seems good also. I think it's a reasonable purchase.

Its also 200 euro less in currys uk than it is in currys here. That is making me even more reluctant to buy it in currys here at full price.
My son likes the gaming card in it

The graphics card in it is certainly a good one. They should be able to play almost anything with it.
