why would you need wifi on a soundbar

    at present i have atv with chromecast..i used chromecast app on my phone to play content on tv...tv isnt a smart tv....

    i am looking to buy a soundbar..do i need a soundbar with wifi to play audio from my phone through the soundbar?
    advise please?

    If the soundbar has a line in you could use a chromecast audio or use bluetooth. Wifi isnt needed if it has bluetooth
