Can't get through to unlock my phone

Was with Meteor for years. Now EIR. I want to switch network but need the unlock code. I have tried close to 20 times and each time I call and go through the steps, they just hang up. I get told to hold and then gone. Nothing. Went into the shop and the lad in the shop told me to just keep trying. I tried getting it done…

I tried getting it done through their online chat service and was told they can't do it and I have to ring.

I'm pissed at this stage. 3 days I have tried and got nowhere.

Anyone experience this?
