Hi, as mentioned in the header, my Toyota Corolla 2007 Master key can start engine and close doors but can't open doors or boot. I bought the car last week and from the first day its behaing like that. The remotes are also not working. I am using tje vallet key for all the purpose for time being. It could be very helpful, if someone can show me a solution..

    Thanks

Put a battery in the remote key.

I did, so I can open the door with remote, still not able to open the door physically but can open boot. The weird thing is, with wallet key, I can open doors but not boot

Yeah the valet key isn’t supposed to unlock the boot or glovebox. There is a boot release lever under the drivers seat though.

You could try oiling the locks. Most people don’t use the actual lock barrel.

Does the boot release lever not only apply to newer shape corollas.
I don't think the old shape corollas had them and to the best of my knowledge there was a mix of new and old shape corollas for 2007.

There were a small few old shape 07 Corollas registered, the boot release lever would be on new and old shape saloons, but as you would know (cos you have one!) the hatch doesn't have one, but can be opened without the key from the outside anyway.
To be honest I just assumed it was a new model!

Yeah, I could open with the boot release lever. I tried applying WD40 on the keys but still not able to open the doors.

    Which model is it?

    02-07 hatchback
    02-07 Saloon

    07 onwards saloon

Don’t think the new model saloon has a valet hey come to think of it.

When you insert the key in the lock, does it turn or feel stiff?

Your Corolla should have come with 2 remote keys and 1 manual key. I remember reading in the manual for my 2007 saloon that the remote keys could lose their sync with the car if the battery died or if it was removed from the remote module within the key for 5 minutes or more.
