I got these new boots about 4 wks ago they are adidas kakari light sg and I lost a stud and the thread is fine and I ordered new adidas studs because my other replacements wouldn't fit but because of Black Friday the studs didn't come in time for my big match against Tullow so will I damage the thread by playing in (the supposedly) rock hard grass for the match?

Probably not, unless you got a considerable amount of dirt in them.

But you'd be better off picking up a pack of studs, a lot of sports shops should have 15mm studs

Thanks I have a spare pair of firm ground boots I might use those although would it be wise to use firm ground on soft ground as a last resort
