Swatch service centre - Dublin

    Hi guys,

Do you know where the Swatch service centre is in Dublin? I remember dropping off my Omega and collecting it from the centre (instead of using Weirs who just ship it off to the centre anyway).

I recall it being somewhere in around Dame street...but google maps/googling didn't bring it up - I wonder did it close down and shift to the UK.

I see non-chrono service prices from Omega is up to €470 now :D

Could get a nice new Borealis/Steinhart/Christopher Wards for that money :P but hey it's the price to pay for "luxury" ownership ;)

Funnily when I looked up the Irish Swatch service centre on their own site:
    https://www.swatch.com/en_ie/services/service-centers/

It gave the Irish service centre as:
Swatch Group (UK Ltd. & Ireland‎
    Charter Court, Third Avenue‎
    Millbrook‎
    Southampton‎‎, IRELAND‎‎, SO15 0JE‎‎

The Swiss may know their watches but could do with some brushing up on geography :D

Found the answer - putting it up in case it helps anyone else:

There was a Swatch group centre located in Lord Edward Street - details:
    THE SWATCH GROUP IRELAND
    Watches Shops
    Phone: 017645770
Address: 14 16 Lord Edward Street, DUBLIN 2, DUBLIN

But it has since closed down (the telephone number still works but it transfers you to Swatch Southampton anyway (though the operator appeared to have an American accent from what I can gather - definitely not Southampton anyway!))

She was able to inform me that a general service starts from €320 and not 470 (phew!) and I can drop it into any Omega selling jewellers - seems like I might have to go to Weirs anyway (might try the Swatch store on Grafton street instead).

Hope this helps someone else looking for this info.

One man conversation here but the info should be useful - got in touch with Swatch Grafton street and they informed me that either Weirs or Arnotts can have the watch sent out for servicing.

Weir’s quoted me 50€ for courier costs a couple of years ago when the service centre was open. I ended up dropping it in myself.

Exactly - that's why I didn't want to go to Weirs in the first place when/if I could have gone to Lord Edward Street myself.

Maybe Arnotts will be cheaper - I'll try them on Monday and let others know.
