Hey l just got my cats fixed, one male one female.

But the male just tried to mount the female? Both 7 months old.
Anyone else experience something like this.

Myself and OH are freaking out.

I believe it will take some time for the Testosterone to leave his system after being neutered. If shes spayed she wont get pregnant at least

I know she can't get pregnant, but just worried about her stitches with the male acting the gowl. They are out of the vets only 2 hours

This happened my male and female when they were done 8 years ago, never before had he shown any interest (he was 4 months, she was 5) but straight away he tried her on when they came home. That whole area is going to feel weird to them for a couple of days, and hormones go a bit washy once they get chopped off, so I wouldn’t worry too much! Keep them separate overnight if you don’t trust him not to try again :pac:

Thank you so much, we are feeling better after reading that. It's the same thing with our two, there seemed to zero interest in that carry on before.

His up and rocking around as if nothing happened with the female looking like a pot head zoned out and sleepy

You need to be neutered Jim. Tis the only cure.

Just like us humans unfortunately. Man gets the snip and he's fine in a few days. Woman has a hysterectomy and it's almost 2 months :(
