    Noticed on done deal how cheap 11 month old heifers are going around €500.is it a result of farmers gettin rid as result of fodder crisis??

    Last year I got €650 for same type of cattle at mert same time last year at mart

    Yes but what are you buying holestin genes ! Thats the issue with Angus and Hereford cattle now. They are the preferred bull for the diary man.

    Uncle sold Angus heifers 200kg for €400 2 weeks ago at Mart and he's been breeding AA last 20 years not a gene of dairy in em.

    But does the easy calving and living off rocks not make them more profitable?

    Still though a bad price for a yearling.more of a charolais man meself used to getting round 750-800 for a yearling but like yed be getting 10 AA compared to 5 charolai for 4000.i know they are hardy but a lot effort to raising a calf to yearling.

    In the angus the kya is seem as the dairy bull..his calves though while healthy and easily born are in my opinion are nearly as mad as a limo and are poor quality especially when crossed when the dairy herd
