Hi lads. I just got one of these and it's replacing a Triax TR112 for Saorview reception. I have the satellite up and running grand but I'm not getting any Saorview channels. The guy who installed the rooftop aerial (which goes to 4 TVs) had two cables going to the Triax...one to the RF In and the other to the RF out. Now seeing as the Edision has no RF Out this must be where the problem lies. Is there something I can buy which will enable me to connect the additional cable to the RF Out on the Edision?

Were you actually using the RF out on the Triax e.g. was the output from the Triax being delivered to an older analogue TV?

You should only have one cable going from the aerial to the Edision. Have you tried swapping the cables to the RF in?

The telly is an old 2007 Philips and I used the Triax for Saorview and a Humax for Freesat. The back of the Triax has Rf In and Out. So both cables went in to those. I just swapped the cables there now and no channels were found. The other TV is used with a Ferguson Ariva and the other two TVs are fairly recent and both have Saorview built in so the cables go directly into those.

Presumably only one of the two cables is connected to the aerial.

Can you figure out which of the two cables is connected to the aerial by swapping in the previously working Triax or Ariva?

What parameters are you using to do the search on the Edision? You may have to configure the tuner to DVB-T.

I have the tuner configured as follows:
    Tuner Type - DVD-T2
    Configuration Mode - Enabled
Terrestrial Provider - Republic of Ireland, all regions (DVB-T/T2) (I have it set to all regions as I don't know which to select for my area)
Enable 5V for active antenna - Off

I'll have a go at the Triax/cabling thing and see what the craic is.

the rf out was to carry signal to analogue tv. Now your signal will go via hdmi ie you tune in saorview on the edision. When you go to tuner configuration and select the t2 tuner you should have the option to do a scan of all the dtt channels. if no signal then it will say none found, so swop cable.

if you say location we can tell region or channels for saorview or you can look on saorview site and put in address.

    Hi O'Prez,

Can I ask how you resolved this? Currently stuck trying to tune the saorview channels in on my Edision OS Mega. I'm not able to pick up any channels with it.

Its strange though as one TV with a digital tuner and one saorview box picks them up fine.

    Tuner Type: DVB-T2
    Config Mode enabled
    Country: Ireland
    Region: Dublin
    Enable 5v: Off

Any help would be great as im trying to get it sorted for xmas. Thanks
