So, it seems in the UK that there is a BT Sports Player, similar to the Sky Player. Where, if you are a paying member, you can use your details to log in online and stream the channel on your laptop or phone.

Is there any way to do this in Ireland? Sometimes I want to watch the sport when I'm in bed or when I'm out of the house!

I think you need to have eir broadband and use a supported browser. If you have it by satellite and your bb is not with eir then you are stuck. I should add bt sport is FREE with eir bb.

There’s a very odd situation on this one....

    - If you are a satellite Eir Sport subscriber - ie not an Eir broadband customer - and are running a OS/browser that can run Microsoft Silverlight, then yes you can stream BT Sport, at www.setantago.com . You have no ability to stream to a mobile device though.

    - If you are an Eir broadband customer, you cannot use Setanta Go. But you have access to an Android/iOS app that you can use to stream to a mobile device and/or cast to a TV.

    - if you are an Eir Mobile (formerly Meteor) customer, you have access to a different iOS / Android app. This one only works on mobile phones and won’t allow you to cast. No Setanta Go for you either.

You can also watch it on www.eirsport.ie if you are a broadband customer

Only in very limited circumstances, else you get a message something like this
Sorry, your browser is currently not supported, you must use IE11 for Windows PCs or Safari for MacOS. Users of Firefox v52 and above will no longer be able to stream eirSport content due to the browsers withdrawal of support of the Silverlight plugin.
