3 people in a thread in "online buying" claim to be able to get free delivery to Ireland for just £20 rather than £25. They do not know why this is the case, and have confirmed it is not the £20 free uk delivery which is the norm. It is not to do with Prime or NI addresses etc.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    This is the thread

Even if you have heard of others with this low limit please post, or if you get it yourself and have no idea why. Its the first I ever heard of it.

I just tried a random item for £23.99 and have the free delivery option.

Are you buying from Amazon or a third-party seller?

Just tried a 23.99 item, same - offers me free delivery.

I've seen this happen in the past with items that are usually > £25 but are reduced. But I tried this one (reduced from £25 to £18.99) and it didn't work.

It's also not just that the £6 delivery charge would take it over the £25. Tried a £19.99 item, that didn't qualify for free shipping. Added an item for 34p, still didn't, so it's not just crossing the £20 barrier that does it.
Then I piled on the Add Ons until it crossed the £24.00 mark, still no super saver, not till it went over £25.

Sometimes it's better to spend your time taking advantage of these things rather than trying for too long to understand them and missing out :D

The guys in the thread said it must be fulfilled by amazon.

In that thread I did mention that I had gotten several things with free delivery which were just a little under £23.99, like 2 memory cards which I linked. This was confusing things in that thread too though, as I wanted an example of something that was say £20.50 which they got free delivery on to confirm I and others could not. But people just kept confirming they also got free shipping on my memory card example.

What was your £23.99 item? my guess is some lightweight things have very cheap postage so you get it here too.

These people were saying they would always get free delivery on items £20, not just sometimes on items a little under £25.

It may also help to be a single item, or 2 of the same item, otherwise they have to pay admin costs to have a lad picking out loads of small cheap items.

Yes, I get free on that item too.

It would be nice to know how the "barely under £25" works. But I am far more interested to know about the £20 thing.
