I purchased a new deep freezer recently and I taught the door was faulty because there was no suction when I open it they sent the service man he changed the seal didn't work then changed the door same story didn't work so the retailer sent me another whirlpool freezer guess what same story no suction they said they never seen the
long story short is there a chance that the suction is a thing of the past and a deep freezer just shuts close???

The suction is caused by the air cooling as you shut the door and contracting, usually the seal and fact the rest of the box is also almost airtight causing the suction.

Maybe the new type has an opening somewhere that stops this.

you didn't mention if the d/f is a chest or upright, free standing or integrated, any number of factors can come into play here but it looks as if the service man didn't know much more than yourself. first thing to check with a thermometer is the operating temp of the cabinet but to me without seeing it would indicate there is no problem if two different units behave the same, you probably have it full for the Christmas so very little displacement of cold air

It's a chest free standing freezer service man said he didnt
Know when he saw a new deep freezer last
Thing is the people that sent me a Beko replacement freezer are to call and take away the whirlpool freezer when I have all the contents changed over and I guess the whirlpool will end up been scrapped for recycling should I take a chance and keep on to it ???
