Debating between these two courses. From what I have read, the B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering qualifies you as Engineering Technician whereas the renewable energy addition allows you to practice as an engineer. Am I right in saying this?

Anyone here done either course? Could you tell me your experience of either course and your outlook for careers?

As far as I know all the mechanical, mechatronic and similar courses are grouped together for first year and you specify in second year, so if you're undecided you'll have the first year to get a feel for what you prefer.
