Help to identify water leak

    Have a potterton gas boiler with a water leak see pics advice very much appreciated thanks for looking

    They are shutoff valves each side of your recirc pump. The one in the first picture is closed , why? I had similar issue before after i moved them to closed to change the recirc pump they leaked, a little leak is no bother but the valves will need changing to stop the leak. No immediste panic though.

    How can you tell the it's open, the last time someone was at the boiler was to replace the pcb board, should i open it with a screwdriver,

    I'd like to know why it is closed before i'd open it. Its a little open . As for how to know if it closed or open , the screw driver slot tells you : slot is in line with the pipe hence inline with flow = valve open . Across the pipe = shut

    It was closed no thanks to my brother its open now. getting a plumber this Friday to sort out many thanks for your help... happy XmasðŸ˜
