Leaking 2.5 year old radiator - fix or replace?

Hi all. I have a vertical radiator in my living room. It's 1800mm high X 600 wide. We bought the house renovated about 2.5 years ago and the rad looks fresh so I can only presume it was new at the time.

A while back I noticed a damp patch under the rad and found a drop of water at the base of the rad, right in the middle. I've since spotted that this is actually forming at the top of the rad and dropping down through it.

I don't have details of the original purchase of the rad so no comeback there. It seems to be coming from what looks like a joint in the middle of the radiator, which seems very odd to me, see picture attached. This seems to be causing a loss of pressure in the whole system. There's a tiny leak in the hot tank at one of the joints going into the tank. We've also had a leak under the bath and had to replace a leaking tap since we moved in so I'm fairly convinced that the plumber was a chancer and / or was using sub-par materials.

I've received a quote of €800+ to replace it but I'm curious as to any possibility of repair or what might be causing this?

    Thanks for reading!
