Alloy wheel repair, Dublin

Anyone here have a good recommendation for someone who repairs kerbed alloy wheels in Dublin? My dealer recommended Route 66 but when I did a search for them on here the feedback was pretty bad, so I'm looking for someone more reliable. On a previous car I used Smart Repair as they came to my house. Their work seemed fine, so I may just go with them again. It's one wheel that has been kerbed.

    Cheers.

Collins Engineering Bray do very good work for many main dealers.

    I wouldn't agree with that.

Quick question, one of my alloys is scratched noticeably. I don't really care but I'd prefer not to see the black mark on them. If I got a can of spray paint (silver) and painted the scuff mark silver, are there any downsides to this? Should I sand beforehand or?

    Thanks

It'll look terrible I'd say. There's a good bit of work involved in fixing scuffs in alloys.

It can't look as bad as now. It's black now, it will be silver when I paint over it so it will match the rest of the alloy. I'm not really bothered paying 100e to get what is essentially a deep scratch on an alloy fixed so I thought by spraying it silver it will at least match the rest of the alloy.

+1 for wheel wizards. I badly kerbed a wheel on the wife’s car last year. Was returned in perfect condition. The paint used was identical. Nice lads to deal with too.

Does any know roughly how much it would cost to get four alloys powder coated?
    Or even resprayed?
    Thank you.

I'd say about €450 for a good job.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking alright. I've stripped back a set that I have there, they're ready for a good sanding and a few coats of primer now.
I was gonna spray them myself but I was told not to bother. Best to get them professionally done.

Wheel wizards quoted me 350 to refurb a set of 16s if that's any help

Thanks, a good friend of mine is a panel beater but he hates doing wheels.
I reckon if I dump them into his lap already already stripped, primed and flattened he might begrudgingly do them for me.

If not, I'll give them a try.

Price depends on size too, what size are they wheels you want refurbished?
They aren't 2 or 3 piece wheels are they, as that would add to the cost.

They're a set of 16 inch Honda blades. Nothing too intricate.
