Hi Im looking at setting up a DDWRT router for a friend.

I have DDWRT already but for him he has a Huawei HG658c with vodafone.

Ultimately he wants a guest WIFI and VPN setup and likes these in DDWRT.

Is bridging the Huawei HG658c the only option or can a DDWRT modem replace the HG658c ?

If people are using the bridged option is it stable ?

Lastly how do I find the WAN internet password for the xxxxxxxxxxx@@vodafone.ie username ?

    Thanks

Is it a VDSL or FTTH connection? If VDSL you can only replace it if the modem supports VDSL vectoring (few do, and even fewer support OpenEir's implementation of it). If FTTH, you can replace it no problem.
