    Hi all,
I want to build a new cattle and sheep shed and was wondering does anyone here have drawings, ideas or pictures for a cattle and sheep shed? Part time farmer, keep 50 ewes and 6 sucklers. any help appreciated.

Have you plans to up numbers, i assume you will build to hold a few more than that.

You could build a tidy little two bay double with sheep on slats one side and cows on the other or with your numbers you could have your 6 cows in one bay 20 ewes in the second and have one side of the shed dry for calving/lambing,

Again if you want room for expansion you could just go to 3 bay double

Isn't there a risk of malignant catarrh fever in cattle that are housed with ewes during the lambing period.

Yea, it's better not to have them in the same shed, but i know people that house them together without incidence
