Despite notifying the parish office, details of Mam’s anniversary mass were not printed twice, the week before and the week of the mass.
This in spite of the fact the mistake of the omission was highlighted and acknowledged.
Subsequently we requested a note to appear the week after the mass, subsequent to the 2 prior omissions.
As we speak no reason is forthcoming as to why.
Not sure what we can do, maybe take it outside the parish

What outcome do you want from this?

No offence, but nobody outside the parish cares. This is literally not their problem.

This is a slip-up in the parish office. Details of the anniversary mass didn't reach whoever compiles the bulletin. Or, they did, but got overlooked in the actual compilation. This kind of slip up can only be rectified at parish level. There is literally nothing the bishop can do which would ensure that this does not happen again.

You should get an apology, and the parish office needs to review its processes for ensuring that the appropriate notices turn up in the bulletin, because the current processes are clearly not working reliably. This is most effectively handled within the parish.

Slip-ups of this kind happen in outfits that largely run off volunteer labour. It may be the parish needs more volunteers, or more competent volunteers.

My sister sent in a note to acknowledge the 30th anniversary of my Mam’s passing.
What we all wanted was for this to appear in the weekly bulletin so that relations far and wide could be sent a copy.
To our minds this would remedy what was 2 mistakes, one is understandable.
Since this morning parish office have given us their word that note will appear next Sunday.
