Doing a course at the moment and we are covering statistics. Part of this is correlation calculations.

Questions take an age to work out, simple enough stuff but is there a function on a calculator to speed these calculations up.

I have attached a question as a example

    cheers

You could set up a spreadsheet to do it quite easily - all it would require is for you to fil in the raw data and he presto, the table populates with all the relevant calculations. Or you could enter the data in two columns in Excel and then use the Correl function - it will show you the final correlation figure, but not the in-between calculations like youve shown on the Word document.

Yes, most modern scientific calculators will have the capacity to do this. Do you have a calculator already? What make and model is it? Or are you looking to buy one?

As Delphi said, it's easy enough with a spreadsheet, but if you want it on a calculator for an exam where calculators are allowed but laptops aren't, then we could offer advice on what calculator to go for once we know what you need it for. If you want portability but not for an exam, it would be cheaper to download a calculator app to your phone that would do it.
