VW Golf Mk VI headlight parts

    Hi all,

Is it possible to get internal headlight parts for a 2010 Mk VI Golf? The piece where the off side main dipped bulb fits into has corroded. My local VW dealer suggested a full new headlight but it seems a bit expensive for one small piece of plastic/metal.

I've tried a bit of Googling without success.

(I know I've the option of a breakers yard if the part can't be sourced but I just thought I'd ask here first).

    Thanks.

I hardly think you could find something like that.
Personally, I'd remove the headlight and try fix it/replace it/ super glue it etc
Otherwise, another one from brake yard should do it.

    Thanks.

Part of the metal contact plate is corroded rather than broken. I've removed it several times and attempted to remove some of the corrosion but couldn't get it to work.
