    Hi everyone,
    My husband and I recently got married and are now planning to build a house. We have been gifted a site and are currently in the process of getting it signed over. Once we have that completed we plan to apply for our mortgage. My questions are;
    A. Do we need much in our savings? We plan to seek a mortgage of around 220,000. Our site has not yet been valued but we have a tough idea that it's about 30,000.
    B. Are car lions and credit car bills a major No no? Should we have all this cleared?
    C. Anything else that should be flagged?
