Odd question - Vietnam, thailand or Cambodia

Hi - my other half lives in china and suggested instead of me flying there for new years in feb we go elsewhere and bring the in-laws along who are in their 60;s , speak only chinese and while once very mobile lately had leg issues

I think it makes more sense , if we d it for me to fly to the country picked and meet them there - though i don't like that idea in case any problems with travel their end - last time they travelled to meet me in uk their plane was diverted due to heart attack of other passenger so couple of days delay - ok in UK, not sure i'd like in an asian country

my main question would be which country any one might thing best - I think they are leaning towards Thailand. due to cost, and having had other trips I guess I could be there for 10=14 days.

not really a backpacking type holiday, so not even sure which is the most sensible country to be able to see things without too much awkward trekking and moving about ( up to today the plan was uk, and then some where in eu so I've not had time to look, but need to make a desicion to try sychronise flights and dates

    any input very welcome

one last thing - if we flew to country A - say thailand , how easy is it, or not to then travel cross borders - can I sort the visa there or have to sort muttiple entry and all that from here

Its quite a hard question to answer, because all three offer different things, it depends on what you want to see and do. Its very easy to cross borders in between without much hassle, just check what visas you need in advance. I believe Vietnam would be a pre visa approval, whereas the other two you can get on entry (again, double check, thats for an Irish passport).
Out of the three, i would say Thailand is more 'westernised', then Vietnam and lastly Cambodia. Out of the three Cambodia is probably my favourite for this reason. Ease of travel around is probably Thailand, but if you have money (i.e you dont really have a budget), you can travel well and do things like hire a driver with air con van etc. If you were going to say take in Bangkok and Phuket for example, or Hanoi to Hoh Chi Minh, or Bangkok to Cambodia Siahonoukville for example, you will get cheap flights with Air Asia and its probably the best form of travel for older people. Ive been on many long bus journeys where buses break down, they tell you they have air con/recliner seats, and low and behold there is none. Welcome to Asia :-)
Best thing to do is plan what you really want to do, remember, there are only so many temples you will want to visit in one holiday. For a two week holiday its best not to plan too many places, even with flights, they take up a lot of time and waste days - a two hour flight for example still means transport to airport, check in two hours before (ish) your flight, collecting bags, transport then to your hotel.
