Hi, I have a property in Fuerteventura and am thinking of selling it. I have it about 10 years and haven't rented it out.

if I sell it I will make a slight overall loss and will obviously pay all Spanish taxes.

My question is will I be liable for any Irish tax? Im assuming capital gains won't apply as I'm selling for slightly less than I paid for it but I'm wondering if the fact I didn't make a voluntary displeasure before 1 May this year (I felt I didn't owe tax) will cause problems.

    Any advice appreciated

    Rose
