Tado can't replace Climote(?) - alternatives?

I have a Climote which controls three zones - beds, living area and hot water. The beds zone has a wired thermostat, the living area has a wireless thermostat and the hot water has a wired tank thermostat. I want to install a more intelligent heating controller and thought that the Tado starter kit and their extension kit would suit. I emailed them my details and they came back to say that the Tado can't replace the Climote and so can't handle the hot water.

Maybe something was lost in translation but I'm not sure that they're right.

Anyway, is there an alternative with similar functionality that can handle three zones, is Apple Home compatible and can be enhanced with things like smart TRVs for a reasonable price?

Tado should be able to handle this!

Tado Extension kit to replace the Climote, giving you HW control and one wireless thermostat and a second Tado thermostat for the wired point. Might be some complicated wiring involved, might require an electrician.

I'd have thought so too but Tado themselves don't seem to think so - I suspect they've misunderstood something in my setup.

I had hoped that I could just swap the Climote with a smart controller and maybe replace the two room thermostats to match but it doesn't seem as straightforward as I had imagined.

What Evohome? Have purchased but haven't managed to install yet?

Tado have confirmed that their system can't handle three channels. They suggest that I use an independent controller for the hot water and use their starter kit plus extension kit for the two heating channels.

Does anyone know of a similar system that can use intelligent TRVs and can handle three channels and geolocation on multiple devices?

Doesn't seem like you ever got this answered ?
I thought Tado could do this

The funny thing is that Tado seem to think that it can:

    https://www.tado.com/en/blog/do-it-your-way-multi-zone-control

"If you have more than one heating zone in your home, tado° gives you the power to control each zone and your hot water tank separately."

I was told by two Tado representatives that its not possible to have two heating zones and a hot water zone.

Alternatives? Honeywell Evohome seems to be the closest but its very expensive. I haven't found anything else with intelligent TRVs yet.

Have you looked at http://www.ephcontrols.com/ ? 3 Zone unit.

Both the hive and nest could do it. But you’d need 2. One will do a zone +hw the second will do zone 2

Thanks for both suggestions. I'd really like to have wireless TRVs so I think that Evohome is the only realistic alternative
