Just happened to spot the news in today's Radio Times; HD transmitter no longer needed, from this afternoon. I'm receiving it now, after a retune. Radio Times says channel 81, but on my TV it's channel 116; the two never match for me (for some reason I haven't figured out yet!).

Peter Sellars' The Naked Truth is on in in 5-10 minutes (missed it first time round!).

Ye have it on Channel 81 from Wales.
Its good because my TV is not Freeview HD and all new stuff seemed to be going on the HD Channels

We're in Donegal, and our channel 81 is a UTV one I think.

We prefer small TVs, and ours finally died 2 years ago (it must have been one of the earliest flatscreens!).
We replaced it with the only small one in the shop (also about the cheapest TV available) and it's HD capable (not to mention DVD slot, USB etc)! However, the NI transmitter that provides our Freeview doesn't do HD.

We saw some of that Peter Sellers film - must be one of the worst ones he was in, despite being star-studded (they were all valiantly trying to make a ridiculous plot convincing). But I've seen some real classics in the programme lists (despite trying to avert my eyes until now!).

    All Freeview transmitters have the BBC B, DVB-T2 mux, carrying BBC1 & 2, CBBC, ITV1, Ch.4, & Ch.5 in HD.

I assume you're thinking of the COM 7 & 8 DVB-T2 muxes, which are rather more limited coverage.

Don't know offhand (only that we couldn't get the station at all previously, when it was from HD enabled transmitters only, and ours (Brougher Mountain) isn't. (I expect you're correct!).

Brilliant channel with some great old British classic films.
