Is there a mouse in my car?

I came out to my car yesterday morning to see this (sorry picture quite unclear). Two packets of chewing gum chewed/ripped up and a packet of sweets on the ground on floor of back. They were all previously in the holder beside handbrake. A CD and 20 euro note had also moved from that position in the holder. The day before I noticed there was a bit of foam pulled out beside one of the back passenger seat belt lock but blamed it on the dog.
I checked and there are no droppings anywhere and no nests etc. Set traps then and they haven't been touched from yesterday morning until this afternoon. I'm totally freaked out in case it's a mouse but would a mouse cause that much damage overnight? Any opinions welcome.

If you want rid of any rodent, go to a pet shop that sells snakes and ask them for some dried snake skin. They shed quite a bit of skin and sometimes leave large sections intact. If mice sense that there is a snake nearby they will flee never to return. It is instinctive for mice to be afraid of snakes, they are their number one enemy since time began. Spread some of this dried skin around the inside of your car.

Mice in Ireland would have no contact since there are none in this country, not least since St. Patrick banished them :D

Get yourself a few mousetraps and bait them with peanut butter and don't put poison in the car, I know a farmer who poisoned a rat in his jeep once and the smell of the dead rotting rat had him stunk out of it for about 3 months after.

I opened the glove box on the way to work years ago and saw a mouse. Stopped at a shop, bought a mouse trap, put some ham from my lunch sandwiches on it. By 5 o'clock the mouse was dispatched.

Empty the car of any junk/rubbish/food too.

    Has she been de-catted?

    If so, there's your problem.

Had 2 in my car last week. Big ****ers aswell. Set 2 traps and got both of them. Have reset traps and no more issues. Do you live in the countryside ?
I had a vw golf sitting in the driveway for sale and the little ****ers chewed through vacuum hoses and electrical wire covers.
Keep the traps set with choclate or peanut butter

Thoroughly clean your car and set traps. You dont want them to start chewing on wiring under the dash!
