Best time of year for ebay shopping?

I buy star wars vintage figures on ebay and have noticed some mad pricing recently. Figures that went for €300 in summer now going for €500.

Does time of year impact this ie run up to Xmas? I know there's a new SW film out but ignoring that has anyone found ebay to be seasonal?

Assuming unique items like this come up all year round would it make sense that during the summer/Jan or Feb - those times of year people would have less disposable income?

Or for such items like vintage SW figures it doesn't matter, same all year round?

Mods not sure if correct forum so please move if you want.

If you're buying a lot, register as a seller and use http://pages.ebay.ie/help/sell/listing-analytics.html

You can look at average prices over a 12 month trend.

I think this should do what you want too.

Else, find forums that specialise in this stuff. there's loads out there.

Not around Christmas anyway. Too much competition and people eager to blast their credit cards. January and February are much better. I know nada about your area of collecting, but that was the case with vintage watches anyway.

    .

lol silly, go to Moore Street. You can get Sky War figurines for a few quid, especially the Dark Vather and Luke Skyscraper dolls, 4 for a fiver I think it is.

That is very funny, how long did it take you to think up that masterpiece.
