    All,

I have had a strange occurrence happen these last two Wednesday nights.
From about 7pm onwards, the bulk of the Astra 28 FTA channels disappear.
The few that are left are challenge tv, Pick & really.
I have two enigma FTA boxes and this happens on both.
    Anyone else experience this ?
It's like some frequencies get blocked .

Sounds like your dish is gone out of alignment. If it's happening at a predictable time EVERY evening then consider local interference from some wireless source near the dish such as a baby monitor.

I actually had the same issue on Wednesday evening in Carlow but it is not as happening at the same time each week or anything, I suspect that there is water getting into the LNB or the dish is out of alignment as it seems to happen when it is windy or very wet out.

I have a proper sky+ HD box and that never loses the signal but has some very minor breakup, the mutant hd1500 however completely loses signal so it appears that the tuners on the mutant are more sensitive to issues on lnb or alignment.

Tommy in the tuner menu in e2 pick the tuner and there is an option to run increased voltage. If the cable run is long that will sort it out.

Cheers not a long cable run really, 20-25ft max .. I’ve set the increased voltage there now and will see how it goes, if it acts up on next windy wet day I’ll know it’s dish/lnb

    Thanks

    Hi Tommy,

did you get any resolution on this ?
i now find my channels are disappearing on a more frequent basis.
A quick check shows zero signal strength for the majority of the channels.

No still not 100% fixed but occurring less often now since I changed the voltage as advised above by STB.
I still think the dish is slightly out of line and am waiting on a signal finder to arrive to check that out.

Good to hear it has improved.
I wonder if it's possible to increase the voltage via an Zgemma hs2 box ?
I've spent a few days looking into it and cannot see anything in a setup menu

Yeah should be possible if you go into tuner setup and then switch from simple to advanced you'll get the option to send increased voltage.
