Hi guys in Canada working approx 3 years now.

It seems I am about to get sack…long story been thrown under bus.

Basically got pr but awaiting for the pr card. Wont receive until January.

What are my rights if any?

    Can I claim dole/ rentallowance?

    Even without the card?

How much is it if so?

Also, under Ontario laws will I get a redundancy package? 2 weeks for every year if bacon slicer does land on my head!?

PR has no impact on what your rights are. If you feel you are being unfairly dismissed then contact Employment Standards https://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/

You can claim EI while you are unemployed. Not sure how much it would amount to but I'm sure there's calculator out there. Rent allowance doesn't exist, only low income housing which is probably in high demand (if BC is anything to go by)

    Read about severance here: https://www.ontario.ca/document/your-guide-employment-standards-act/severance-pay

If you have PR but no PR card you can still legally work anywhere else.

Secondly, not clear on the EI for unemployed if anyone can assist would be great

    Thanks
