    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has signed up for and received this in a rural area. Looks like I will have the option shortly, but wondering if much site work is required. At the moment I have a copper wire connection in an underground duct. Just wondering if the fibre optic cable can be pulled through this or if a new duct will have to be installed.

Use the search function, its been covered multiple times.

TLDR: If its clear they'll use it, but if the duct is in place for over a decade the odds are better that its blocked than clear.

If the duct isn't blocked and large enough to get the new cable through they'll use it, otherwise you may have to lay a new duct or unblock the existing one.

See "Day of Install" guide here for more info - http://fibrerollout.ie/rollout-map/cheat-sheets/
