Anyone any idea why the console below the screen on some mk 5 mondeos st line or titanium 2017 are different. Some have 2 buttons and some a single button. Thought it was something to do with sync 3 or 2 but looking at them on autotrader it seems the dash layout differs. Some are showing different button arrangement below stereo.

    2 buttons

    This one has different stereo?

Irish one (last link) has a Sony stereo, the NI ones have a Ford one (exact same as my own uk import.). I'd say the Sync setup is the same on both (it's slow)

Ah. Tks very confusing even on brochure. They even interchage them on the pics on brochure.

Was looking at titanium for 29k for a 1.5 diesel plus €2850 extra for the 2 litre. Interestingly got offered new Vignale at 33k straight deal no trade in. List price €43k and comes with camera and 2 litre engine. They must not be selling many at 43k but at 33k...

The vignale would be a lot of car for the money. The 1.5 is a bit of a pain at low speeds.

That Sync 3 system is quite poor but now has android auto which makes it a little bit better, The mondeo is a big heavy car, I had a 2lit 150bhp and it was a finecar to drive dont know what the 1.5tdi would be like in it,If you do much motorway driving i would go for the 2 litre if you can afford it.

BTW I found the standard headlights quite poor at night.

Oddly enough, the 1.5 is good enough on the motorway, it's just poor at lower speeds.

You need the 2.0 in some variant, it's a false economy with the 1.5 given the bulk of the car.

I'd give definite consideration to a Vignale at that sort of discount, wonder which power (150/180/210) it's in OP?

Good question ill find out. TBH i find the Vignale a bit too blingy somthing not right. Titanium would be more my liking but to get it in 2.0 with camera will cost more than a vignale. Ill probably bring in a titanium or st in 2017 from uk in jan cleared for 24/25k
Garage admitted not really much interest in Ireland in the 2litre. Dont know why. I know its a little dearer but if your spending close to 30k anyway i rather have a bit of power.
Maybe is that the little round disk in the windscreen costs €10 more per annum on the 2.0 vs 1.5.... Shocking amount!

More to do with the €2850 extra (which is a bit steep for what you actually get)
1 in 3 Mondeo sold this year was 2.0, which is a decent enough portion of them.

I think the jump in price in the uk is less too going from 1.5 to 2.0. 1 in 3 is far more than i thought. Good to know so there maybe a better chance of finding a demo one.

Can I ask where you were offered the vignale at this price?

Thats an absolute straight price no trade in/pcp Finance etc. So you wont get that if your trading in. If you are trading add 4 to 5 k at least or full retail. Pm me if you want contact details.
