Transport for cancer treatment

My uncle was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. He is scheduled for treatment in Beaumont, but his wife (who is unable to drive due to visual impairment) has been unable to source transport for him. He is unable to take public transport either.

I am sure he is not the first Roscommon person who has been stuck for transport, so I was hoping that someone might know of a local scheme or resource that might be able to help?

    Thanks a million.

Local link Rural Transport 071 9650437 and make a Travel2Care Application to the ICS.
