Seeking a cheap enough flight for a match in wembley in new year. cheapest are ryan air standsted/ gatwick/ luton. What would be the best option and how long would i need to allow to get into wembley from each by public transport etc?
Looking at 11.30am flight from Dublin. Match at 8pm but would be nice to have a few hours chill beforehand as such... Is it true that you need to allow 2 hrs from Standsted, for example??? Thanks.

Cheapest option is probably national express/easybus from Luton airport to Baker Street. Booked in advance you can get that journey really cheap like £1-2.

From Baker Street tube station or nearby Marylebone main line station it's a short journey to Wembley park station at the top of wembley way.

Stansted is fine but the train leaves you at Liverpool street which is the opposite side of the city completely.

All depends what you plan on doing before the game.

For Stansted you can get metropolitan line from Liverpool Street, about a half hour from there

Luton get train from Luton Airport parkway to West hampstead Thameslink, then cross the road to the jubilee line station and jubilee line to Wembley Park. This is probably the fastest way.

Gatwick you can get Thameslink from Gatwick to West hampstead Thameslink and then as above.

remember to do the full sums for all options - getting a cheap flight to any of them might be outweighed by transport costs from there. Also as you're not doing a day trip think about the time taken to get there from wherever you're staying the following day.

I'd use Heathrow for that one. Get the Tube then.
