Microfibre clogging my dishwasher

    Hello,
The intake and impellers in my dishwasher keep getting contaminated with what appears to be microfibres.  I'm having to clean them out of my dishwasher once every few weeks.  Is there a known issue with microfibre in the Irish drinking water supply?  (I know it is present in most water supplies worldwide at this point.)

Are there any plans to filter water in Ireland to remove microfibre contamination in the long-term, with it becoming such a problem worldwide?

Are you aware of any plans to ban sales of microfibre items in Ireland to combat this issue?

Water supply fibres would generally be to small to see with the naked eye and Ireland has relatively low numbers of them, maybe it's something being put in the dishwasher, paper maybe?

We are currently following up with the relevant department on this matter and will update you as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
